Valentina Pirro (photo right) received an American Society for Mass Spectrometry Postdoctoral Award at the 63rd Annual ASMS Conference in June 2015. The annual award promotes the professional career development of postdoctoral fellows in the field of mass spectrometry. She was a visiting scholar in R. Graham Cooks’ research group.
Valentina is pictured with Livia S. Eberlin (photo left) at the conference. Livia was a graduate student in Cooks’ group and both are National L'Oreal fellowships for Women in Science recipients. Valentina received the Italian fellowship in 2013 and Livia was awarded the 2014 USA fellowship.
